Weather: 5 increasing to 15 mph south wind, sunny, 90 degrees
Tide: 0ft low at 3am, 1.8ft high at 6pm, long incoming

I wanted to catch some shark bait today so we hit Matlacha for some stingray gigging. Josh has been on a bunch of snook the past week so we threw topwaters on the way out and had a great time with lots of blowups near the mangroves. If the area we were in is any indicator of the snook population in southwest Florida there is nothing to be worried about. Pretty much every shoreline had schools of snook on them. The stingrays weren't out there and by 11:30am it was just plain hot so we headed in.
