Our plan today was to troll deep running plugs for baby tarpon we've been seeing in this basin. We launched at 6:30am all bundled up to battle the 40 degree air temperatures. The basin was loaded with happy rolling tarpon but the ladyfish were thick as well. We trolled the area numerous times but could not stay away from the ladyfish. After 1.5 hours Josh headed home while I went snook fishing since the clear skies and bright sun seemed to be warming everything up quickly. I ended up catching 4 snook to 26.5", two of which were sunning themselves in skinny water. The "glass ghost" rapala x-rap sxr10 retrieved very erratically seemed to do the trick.
