With the IFA Kayak Tournament coming up on March 7th, Tim and I prefished for redfish and trout today. The weather was gorgeous with light winds, blue skies, and warm air temperatures. We poked around a few areas and found multiple schools of redfish pushing across the shallow flats. We caught a couple to see what they were eating and then searched for "plan B" spots. We liked what we saw so we hit a few trout holes on the way in and confirmed that they were chewing good. Heck I even caught my first gator trout of the year at 24.5". Hopefully we get a good turnout for this tournament..as of now it looks like the weather will be nice on tournament day.
