Weather: 15-20 mph southeast wind, cloudy, 82 degrees
Tide: 1.3ft high at 1pm, 0.5ft low at 7pm

Tim and I launched the Hobie Revos a little before noon today after contemplating where to go based on the horrendous wind conditions. We decided to try for early season tarpon even though the wind would probably get the best of us. We fished with live and cut bait for a few hours and came up with 2 blacktip sharks. Did not see a single tarpon so we headed to one of our baby tarpon holes before sunset, jumped 4, and landed 1 that was about 5lbs. It was a pretty fun day and I have to say that the Hobies did amazing in the wind. We covered 10+ miles with ease thanks to the mirage drive pedal system. On another note, it seems that the tarpon migration is a week or two behind this year..there are some fish around but the majority should begin to pour into the bays by the end of next week as long as the late season fronts stay away. I cannot wait!
