Tide: -0.82ft low at 9:26am
My dad and I fished from 8am-1pm today in the backwaters in hopes of avoiding the wind. The tarpon were rolling in the early morning but they weren't as concentrated as last week (meaning we couldn't catch any). We opted to target snook the rest of the day and did pretty good. Ended up with 8 snook, a snapper, and a couple ladyfish. My dad called it a day at 1pm but I continued to explore some new areas and caught 5 more snook before heading in at sunset. Water temperatures varied from 62 in the basin to 72 in dead end canals. Only bait used today was the chartreuse mirrodine with 30# fluoro.
