Weather: 5mph North Wind, 55-60 degrees
Tide: 1.18 at 2am

Drew and I hit a south Cape Coral canal system last night for some pre-front snook fishing. We caught a couple from the usual lights and started to explore more of the canal system as the tide came in. We saw a lot of small fish in areas you wouldn't think would harbor snook..I'm talking about areas that are exposed, cold, and have no current flow...pretty cool to see. Largest fish of the night was 26.5" caught on a DOA CAL shadtail under an unlit dock and a 25.5"er on a DOA shrimp on a green light. I also caught two mullet on consecutive casts (in the mouth) under a dock which is rare in my book. I call them Cape Coral Bonefish.
