Tide: 0.3 at 9:30am
No pictures today but thought I would write something up because we had a pretty crazy day. We were on the water 10 hours today because the fishing kept getting better as the day went on. We caught slot redfish, keeper snook, trout, juvenile tarpon, snapper, and jack. In the morning the redfish were cruising all over the flat. Around noon Tim got cut off by a big snook in the mangroves on a twitchin' rap, a couple seconds later I bagged a 29"er from the same hole on a DOA Cal..was about to get cut off on the roots but at the last second the snook cleared the water and jumped over the fallen branches. The tide was high so we hit a familiar shoreline where we found crazy poons. Threw topwater the rest of the day, jumped at least 15 poons..one poon spit a topwater at my face, treble hooks got caught on my buff, close call. I can't really put into words everything that happened today..just know it was pretty epic. May never bring a camera again..
