Weather: 10-15 West Wind
Tide: -0.1ft at 8:00pm

With a nice low tide at sundown, we decided it would be a good day to go for tailing redfish. The summer months are primarily dominated by high tides with low tides in the afternoons every few weeks. Tim and I met David out on the flats around 5pm. The wind was blowing but we eventually found some tailers. The turtle grass was thick (as usual this time of year) so it was hard for the reds to see your bait. Tim ended up with a 23" trout on a Gulp in a pothole and I caught one 28.5" tailer on an Exude slug (rigged weedless of course). Not many fish caught but it was a good time. This was the first time I've targeted reds since March so it was good to get back in the groove of things.

And here's a small tarpon Pat caught about a week ago in a secret "lake" on Sanibel. We must've had 25 hits but only landed this guy on a DOA Cal Paddletail.
