That night I took Ryan Coyle out again along with his family. They landed two bulls including a 7'2" bull that gave the 9/0 a workout.

My best fishing buddy Pat Halko has not fished in a lot of years and he really wanted to brave the elements, and himself, in the kayak for some inshore fishing. He fabricated a container made of styrofoam to hold his portable oxygen machine and block off salt spray. After getting past a few hoops and hurdles we slid off in the kayak toward the flat like we used to do so often before. It was a great feeling as well as a little sad..to reminisce of the times we had and how our lives have changed over the years..and how fishing has been the one thing static that no matter what kind of shit life throws at you, you still have fishing and comradery. Pat ended up catching fish. Multiple, including some pretty nice trout. He fished his heart out there, just like he used to. Hopefully we'll be able to do it again and again and again.
