I fished the Calusa Blueway Fishing Tournament on Saturday. We we under prefront conditions so the fishing was spectacular. We were allowed to launch 45 minutes before sunrise so I was able to get into some predawn topwater trout. Once the sun broke the horizon I caught a redfish and by 8:30am or so I got into snook busting bait off the mangroves. I ended up with a 22" trout, 26.5" redfish, and 28.5" snook totaling 77". That was good enough for 2nd place, $500, missing 1st by half an inch!
