Tide: 0ft Low at 10pm, 2.0ft High at 4am
With a few pieces of bait leftover from the skunk trip a few days ago I decided to fish the bay again tonight. The current was ripping and I didn't think my weight would hold but to my surprise I got a hard run at 10pm that about gave me a heart attack. I immediately engaged the Avet to strike and muscled my first goliath grouper in in about 15 minutes. Taped out at 5'7".. man what a prehistoric looking fish. I've wanted to catch a goliath for years and now I can finally cross it off the list.
