Weather: 15-20 mph northeast wind
Tide: 0.4ft low at 4pm

During the week after class I scouted a few beaches looking for a good spot to do a little daytime sharking. I found one that held a good supply of bait so around noon on friday I headed out there with the 12/0 and 4/0. I had 3 runs in 9 hours of waiting. The first run was very impressive..it gobbled up a 10lb bait, ran for about 2 minutes, jumped, ran some more, then the hook pulled. The second run I was out trying to catch bait in the kayak so I wasn't near the rod to set the hook. The final run was at 6pm on my 4/0. The 4/0 got its butt kicked but in the end I have to give it credit as it landed this nice 5'5" great hammerhead. A hammer in September, gotta love it.
